The week 10 Premier League predictions come following a weekend of interesting results as well as the midweek interruption of the League Cup. At the time of writing one Premier League manager has been sacked, with Everton parting ways with Ronald Koeman, and another is under significant pressure, but looks likely to keep his job. Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side has massively underperformed this season, but he will certainly continue to trudge along as their manager.
Huddersfield travel to Anfield after their stunning, and well deserved, win over Manchester United, but I really can’t see them getting anything out of this match. Yes, Liverpool have struggled defensively this season, but these woes have been primarily on the road where they have allowed 15 and scored 8. At home this season they have scored 6 goals and allowed just 1. The problem has been that they are still not winning these matches often enough with a 2-2-0 record. It’s quite plausible that Huddersfield could turn in another excellent performance and keep Liverpool from scoring, but I don’t see that happening.
Another manager who seems to be barely hanging on to his job is Slaven Bilic. His West Ham team travels to Crystal Palace with both teams having lost their matches last weekend. Despite that I’m edging Crystal Palace just ahead of the Hammers considering that the Eagles lost 1-0 in their away match and West Ham went down with barely a fight in their 0-3 home loss to Brighton.
Week 10 Predictions:

|10:00/15:00||Crystal Palace||2||v||1||West Ham|
|10:00/15:00||West Brom||0||v||4||Man C|

Certainly the biggest match of the weekend is the early Saturday kickoff between Manchester United and Tottenham. While it might be a big one, I can’t see it being very exciting, particularly for United supporters. Mourinho’s defensive mindset has thoroughly taken over with his scarcity mindset of not wanting to lose. Forget the fact that the team is filled with attacking talent, he would rather squander it in favor of trying to make sure the opposition doesn’t score. Then when his team doesn’t show up for a match against lowly Huddersfield he heaps all of the blame on them while taking none for himself and his failure to motivate them or set them up in a way so as to get the most out of their attacking line.
Not to take anything away from a Tottenham team that is breathing down United’s neck level on points at 20 and just behind on goal difference with their +13 compared to +18. This is looking like the weekend that they are able to overtake United and slip into second in the table. Pochettino has been able to get the most of out the attacking talents that this team has and their recent form has them second in the table on form with 16 points from a possible 18 in their last 6. In this time they have also scored 15 and allowed 3. With Harry Kane being ruled out for this weekend, I’m marking this down to a 0-0.
